Revive CMS - Easy Content Management

Content Management Systems (CMS)

What is a content management system?

Basically, a content management system (CMS) is a system that allows you to make updates to your website, with little or no technical knowledge.

Do I need a content management system?

It depends. If you'd like to make regular updates to news, you have offers that change regularly, or you want to put new photos online regularly, the answer is probably yes. If you have a site that doesn't change very much and is more like an online brochure, the odds are you don't need a content management system.

What content management systems are available?

There are many systems available - some are free, some cost thousands, and they all have different advantages and disadvantages. Wordpress, Drupal and Joomla are some of the better known free ones.

Which CMS does Revive use?

Revive has its own CMS, developed in-house. Why did we do this? Basically, because none of the content management systems readily available had the features we required. For instance, our CMS allows you to publish news in a particularly useful and search-engine-friendly way.

Our remit when building websites is usually to make a site that is quick and easy to use, ranks well in search engines, and looks great. We built our content management system with those goals in mind, and the results have been excellent.

What can I change with a CMS?

With our CMS, you can change all the text, images, photo galleries, videos, maps, add new pages, news, events (and calendars), members areas, chat forums.
